Soenori & Gyeonghamjeong is a complex space at 23-4 Geumso 4-gil, Imha-myeon, Andong, combining a metal-craft workshop with a detached hanok stay.
At Soenori Workshop, run by metalwork (traditional metal-ornament) artisan Park Chan-hee, hands-on experiences of hammering out everyday items such as silver rings, tea utensils, and coffee drippers are held regularly, and overnight guests can book craft classes with priority. The hanok stay Gyeonghamjeong is a detached structure with two rooms, a spacious wooden floor, a private bathroom, and ondol heating, ideal for families or small groups to stay privately.
As its name suggests - winding the thread of the mind while embracing reverence (gyeong) - guests can experience the serene scholar culture by strolling the earthen-wall alleys and spring of the Geumso Andongpo village.
Lodging and experiences are reserved in advance by phone (010-5309-9887), and the greatest feature is that, with the hanok and workshop within one boundary, guests can enjoy traditional crafts and slow life together during their stay.
